This privacy policy pertains to the personal information collected through the Lorna Williams Counselling (LWC) website. Some examples of your personal information may include your name, email address, phone number and contents of your message. LWC recommends that sensitive personal information not be sent unencrypted over the Internet or by e-mail.

LWC is permitted to collect personal information through this website under section 26(c) of FIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act).  
LWC may collect, use, and disclose personal information only for purposes that a reasonable person would consider appropriate in the circumstances, in accordance with the British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA).

LWC only uses the personal information collected through the website for the same purpose that it was collected and will not use your personal information for another purpose without your consent. In some instances, LWC may be required or authorized by law to disclose your personal information to a third party (Section 33 of FIPPA).

LWC uses Jane App, a third-party practice management platform for all appointments and collection of client information. LWC encourages you to consider the platforms applicable privacy requirements and practices to make your own decisions regarding the information you provide.  

Showit is the website platform used to host and display this website. Showit and its service providers may process information necessary to operate, maintain, and secure the website. If you submit information through the website contact form, that information may be processed by the form provider and delivered to me for the purpose of responding to your inquiry. LWC encourages you to consider the privacy policies of Showit and its service providers to best decide what information you provide.

LWC uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4), a third-party web analytics service provided by Google LLC. Google Analytics is used to understand website traffic and improve this website.
